Winter White soap
If you lived in the North Pole and walked out of Santa’s Workshop and took a deep whiff, what would you expect to smell? Winter White is designed to invoke a subtle twist on clean air mint with notes of Spearmint, Peppermint and exotic Water Mint. Of course, at Santa’s Workshop, you won’t be surprised to find a few notes of Chocolate and Hot Cocoa wafting out of the windows as well. This blend is finished up with a beautiful soft dry down of Vetevyr and delicate West Indian Vanilla.

Hen N Chicks Soaps are made without chemicals, preservatives, paraffin, phylate, or one ounce of petroleum. We use some of the most nourishing organic oils and blend them with either essential oils or fragrance oils.

Every batch is handmade and poured in small quantities. Each bar is cut and packaged by hand.  Use our soaps for face and body.

Hand cut bars average 5oz and are $4 each.

This is one of our best summer heat and sunburn bars.  It combines wintergreen & peppermint essential oils.  Just the right proportion to feel the coolness.

Sweet Licorice

I used my old favorite Anise soap and added a touch of almond fragrance oil.  Just enough to sweeten the smell!

Honey N Oats

Oatmeal has a long history of use as a softening agent that helps to soothe sensitive or irritated skin. Ground-up oats found their way into cleansing and beauty bars centuries ago, imparting an appealing texture, colour and scent.
Oatmeal is used in soap primarily as an exfoliant that both removes dead cells and stimulates circulation under the skin to maintain a healthy and attractive glow.
Am...ong all the cereals, oats are said to have the best amino acid balance and are a soothing, anti-inflammatory agent. Those who have used soaps with oatmeal content say that it relieves minor skin irritations and the itching from mild eczema.

There are a few oils I won't use. 

The first one is lard.  Not always but most of the time lard does not make a good lather and it does leave an odd smell unless you use a strong fragrance oil.

Soybean oil.  If it's not good to eat it's not good for your skin!

Cocoa Butter Vanilla Mint

Saponified ORGANIC oils of coconut, palm, olive, almond & cocoa butter.  Vanilla crystals & 100% pure peppermint essential oil.

Looking for a knock-out-wake-me-up bar? How about one with double the amount of cocoa butter for soft skin?  This bar is both! Vanilla naturally turns cold process soap brown.  Don't worry the soft tinted lather washes away clean.

Blueberry Butter

Saponified ORGANIC oils of coconut, sunflower, olive & cocoa butter.  Fragrance oil.

This batch has double the normal amount of cocoa butter making it a very soothing bar for winter.  I do use a fragrance oil so if that doesn't bother you the smell of ripe blueberries will take you to a beautiful summer day smack in the middle of a blueberry patch.

Star Anise

Saponified ORGANIC oils of sunflower, olive & coconut.  100% pure star anise essential oil.

If I was not worried about breaking copyright laws I would call this soap Kookaburra licorice.  Have you ever tried Kookaburra licorice?  It is a very soft intoxicatingly strong licorice made in Australia.  When I shower with this soap I can close my eyes and almost taste it as I breath deep.  Besides my Honey N Oats face soap this is my all time favorite body bar.  If I only made this body bar soap ever again I would happy.

Cinnamon Orange

Why cinnamon in soap?  Why not?

Cinnamon boosts the activity of the brain and hence acts as a good brain tonic. It helps in removing nervous tension and memory loss.

Eucalyptus essential oil is antiseptic, antifungal, promotes healing and rejuvenates your skin. But just as important are the uplifting effects of eucalyptus on the mind. Eucalyptus has a cooling, refreshing effect that we can all use these days.

Lemony Lavender Castile

The health benefits of lavender essential oil include its ability to remove nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems. Lavender has the Latin name Lavare, which means “to wash”, due to its aroma that gives the feeling of a clean aroma.

The health benefits of lemon oil can be attributed to its stimulating, calming, carminative..., anti-infection, astringent, detoxifying, antiseptic, disinfectant, sleep inducing, and antifungal properties.
